Who Am I?
My name is Stephen Hooper.
This is the only place on the site that you will see my name.
I am not ashamed of God, nor of His word, but this site is about Him, not me.
I have produced this under the name Arty Ginosko, which is Greek for “Now I know”.
If anyone has a burning desire to know more about me, feel free to email me, and I will provide you a brief bio.
Suffice it to say that I am over 50 years old, having spent 20 years on active Army service. I have seen combat, and it doesn’t particularly distress me, although I have no pressing desire to see it again.
I have spent the last several years studying the Bible, trying to figure out what it actually says rather than what people have read into it.
I have been saddened by the number of people that misuse God’s word to support their particular causes and also by those who feel that they have to charge people for access to better understanding of God and His word.

I started with several standard translations, then selected from among them as I believed necessary to more closely conform to the original intention of the author. This may coincidentally conform to one or more standard translations, but I have specifically attempted to avoid copyright infringement.
Any errors in the transmission, interpretation or understanding of God’s word in this book are entirely mine.
Nearly all of the art work on this site is by Gustav Dore (1832-1883) and is public domain. The remainder of the art is either free or creative commons.
